Hello, I’m Lucy Reynolds! An author, poet and book creator with a love of nature and conservation

Growing up on a small farm in Somerset, I developed my love of nature roaming free in the great outdoors. This fascination with all things wild drew me to study the two great noticers of nature, Thomas Hardy and G.M. Hopkins, for my PhD in nineteenth century poetry, read at Oxford University.

From academic research I pursued a career in publishing, thought leadership and project management before launching a career in children’s books.

Today, I write, teach and co-direct my own children’s publishing company with illustrator partner, Jenna Herman. I also co-direct the Stepping Into Stories Kids’ Lit Fest in London, with fellow creatives Mo O’Hara, Margaret Bateson-Hill and Hayley Byfield. Through this work I love to unlock the potential of children and communities to achieve amazing things together…

I hope you’ll enjoy exploring my website and discovering how we might work together.
